Just a few days ago, I was running my mouth all around town going on and on about how Classic Seven Layer Bars are the best of them all. I wasn’t shaming my other, previous Seven Layer Bar recipes per se, but I had very clearly come to the conclusion that there really was no butter combination of layers than classic seven. But a mere five days later, I am back again with another one-of-a-kind magic bar recipe, bound to have you running to the store for the closest can of 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk you can find.
These bars are meant for those of you who are a kid at heart. Your love for nostalgic childhood classics like Oreos and M&m’s may have somehow followed you into your very late 20’s and beyond. There’s no shame in the game of enjoying, as an adult, the very delicious snacks and desserts that some would consider “childish”. I will not judge thee, for I am one of thee.
The desserts I ate as I child are the same ones I love today, though these days, they’re usually baked into some sort of chocolaty something, as seen here. The basics are all there in these M&m Oreo Seven Layer Bars: graham cracker crust, coconut, chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk. But this time, we’re adding some crushed up Oreos and sprinkling on some mini M&m’s in there. The layers go together so nicely. They’re chewy, they’re crunchy, they’re crispy, they’re chocolaty. It’s a party in a Seven Layer Bar.
M&m Oreo Seven Layer Bars

- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs about 7-8 graham crackers, crushed
- 1 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk

- 1 cup Reese's peanut butter chips
- 1 cup Crushed Oreos
- 1 cup mini M&m's
- 1 1/2 cups shredded coconut
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350° F and line a 13"x9" pan with parchment paper or spray with cooking spray. Melt the butter in the microwave in a microwave safe bowl, or melt in a saucepan on medium heat. Mix the butter with the graham cracker crumbs, and spread the butter-crumb mixture into the prepared pan. Pat the mixture down with the back of the spoon to form an even layer.
-
In any order you want, top the graham cracker layer with the chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, mini M&m's and Oreos (save a few of everything for the top if you want!). Then, drizzle the entire can of sweetened condensed milk over all of the chips and cookies. Top with the shredded coconut.
-
Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the coconut looks a little toasted. Top with the remaining chips, Oreos and M&m's if desired. Let cool for about 30 minutes before cutting and serving. Enjoy!
